WCEC is a non-profit co-op with the mission of providing its members reliable electric service at a reasonable rate.

关于我们

Tucked into the center of our 9 county East Texas service territory, the headquarters for Wood County Electric Cooperative is in Quitman. WCEC serves over 38,000 meters in parts of nine counties throughout northeast Texas including, Camp, Franklin, Hopkins, Smith, Rains, Titus, Upshur, Van Zandt and Wood counties. We’ve been bringing electric power to our corner of East Texas since 1938. We’re proud of our history as one of Texas’ first electric cooperatives, and we’re grateful to continue to be of service to our good neighbors in East Texas today. WCEC is owned by the people it serves. Rates are set to operate and maintain the system – not to make a profit. The co-op’s operations are governed by a seven-member board elected from and by the members. The general manager who oversees day-to-day activities is appointed by the board. To report a power outage, use the My WCEC app, visit https://www.wcec.org/outage-center/outage-reporting/ to learn about outage texting or call 866-415-2951. To reach member services, call 903-763-2203 (8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday).
