关于我们
Wondermore connects authors, illustrators, and their books with Boston-area students increasing equitable access and reinforcing a love for reading. We envision a world in which all students have the opportunity to see themselves in the books they read and are inspired to become lifelong learners. Wondermore enhances curriculum by bringing authors and illustrators into small classroom settings where they share stories about their journey as an artist and answer questions about what goes into writing books. After every presentation, we give each student a copy of the book for their home library. We also give copies of the author's other titles to the classrooms and school libraries, extending the impact of our event beyond the day of the visit.

Thank you El Mundo Boston for an article featuring Wondermore's work in Boston Dual Language Schools! We are proud to partner with schools and authors to bring culturally representative books to students. As Eva Gerena-Rivera, the librarian from the Sara Greenwood School in Dorchester, said in the article, stories in Spanish “are more relatable and engaging for students. We also know that families love reading these stories together. These stories help create a bridge between families and the school." Karla Arenas Valenti spoke with fifth grade students at Ellis Elementary in Roxbury about her new book, Lola, her childhood in Mexico, and how everyday magic is a part of the novel. Librarian Siri Carr, recipient of this year's Shelf Help Award from the Boston Book Festival and Wondermore, was a fantastic host as always, and the students and teachers greatly enjoyed Karla's presentation. All students went home that day with a signed copy of Lola, and the library will soon receive $1,500 worth of new books for the library, courtesy of Shelf Help. @Karla Valenti
