?? Breaking the Myths Around Abuse There's a common misconception that certain personality traits or weaknesses make someone more likely to experience abuse. The reality is far different: There are no personality traits that encourage abuse. Strong, capable women experience it too, and abusers are often skilled at persuading their victims that it's their fault. As WGA Members, it's crucial that we challenge these harmful myths and understand that abuse can happen to anyone. Our commitment to addressing violence against women and girls means standing up against these misconceptions and ensuring that survivors feel supported and understood, not blamed. ??
