After six transformative years, we announced earlier this month that our President and CEO, Melanie R. Bridgeforth, MSW, will be stepping down in February 2025. Under her remarkable leadership, Women’s Foundation of Alabama has seen unprecedented growth and impact—including a 174% growth in revenue, expanding our philanthropic footprint statewide, and six proactive legislative wins for women. While this marks the end of an era, it’s only the beginning of a powerful legacy. We’re honored to continue this mission and celebrate her legacy through the Melanie R. Jones, MBA spoke at the public unveiling of Good Jobs, and shared about our critical role in this project. Over the past year, WFA has funded healthcare training programs at community colleges and nonprofit partners across central Alabama—and we’re just getting started. ??
