Attendees heard from Ferox Principal and Founder?Cristina Antelo, ESQ?as she spoke about her career journey. Ferox Principal?Debra Dixon?serves on the board of the Women's Congressional Staff Foundation. WCSF joins the entire Congressional community in mourning the passing of Judy Schneider, who shared her incredible expertise and passion for Congressional procedure with so many of us -- from Staff Assistant to Senator. Judy was such a legend and her memory continues to inspire us
It is with heavy heart that I must communicate the news of the passing of Judy Schneider. In my four decades of working with Congress, no other staffer was regularly called "a legend," a compliment she richly deserved. In 2018, at the inaugural Congressional Management Foundation Democracy Awards, Judy was bestowed the first award for Lifetime Achievement for Congressional Staff. At the ceremony I said this: "For more than four decades Judy has tutored staff assistant and chief of staff, Senator and Representative, Speaker and Parliamentarian. When we calculate achievement over a lifetime, we add up the cumulative impact, and ask, what good have we brought the world. Judy has done so much good it’s impossible to calculate." Together, our staff associations are committed to working to increase the number of senior women of color and to ensure that Congressional staff composition is reflective of the communities that Members of Congress represent.
