Some takeaways about the asset management industry: ??The asset management industry is driven by global growth, productivity and innovation. ??The market is growing and changing. Fixed income grew, passive as alternative has grown, and private (10-15% growth) has grown ??Get exposure to the breadth of stocks and the market options ??Private markets will continue to expand Some great advice: ??Find a company that has great culture and has people you enjoy working with. ??Constantly learn. ?? At every stage of your career you need your personal board of directors. ??Sponsors speak up for you because they know you and your work. To get one, look for opportunities to show your work and have a voice where you are the SME and can show your skills. ??You can’t time everything. Be genuine and authentic and listen to yourself. ??Ask for feedback and make sure they give it to you. Be willing to accept it.
