Our San Francisco Women Presidents Organization chapter gathered in beautiful Carmel for an inspiring and insightful retreat, packed with practical business strategies, thought-provoking discussions, and bonding time with fellow leaders. I was honored to participate in the panel “Key Steps to a Successful Business Sale” moderated by M&A advisor Amy Cole, MBA, MAMI, CBI, CBB, CMAP, with Christina Seelye, Arleen Candari, and Kelly Greer. We shared actionable insights on preparing for and navigating a business sale, equipping attendees with strategies to maximize value, avoid surprises, and ensure a smooth transition. It was especially rewarding to hear from several attendees that they found my insights engaging and the discussion highly relevant. Their feedback highlighted the importance of fostering conversations that emphasize the need for early planning in a business’s lifecycle—ensuring leaders are well-prepared to maximize value, ensure cultural fit, and navigate a successful transition when the time comes. For professionals looking to lead similar panels, my key takeaway is that the best sessions blend real-world expertise with interactive discussion—creating an environment where attendees can both learn and contribute.
