WLG was founded to help lawyers and other professionals use their skills to positively contribute to the causes that matter most to our democratic ideals. Our members include many lawyers and other professionals who have become active for the first time in their careers, seizing the moment to make a demonstrable impact on our nation’s future. We focus our current work in 3 areas: sexual harassment; gender and workplace equity; and women’s health and reproductive rights.

This morning, Women Lawyers On Guard's report, "Still Broken: Sexual Harassment and Misconduct in the Legal Profession", was highlighted on NPR's "Morning Edition". Reporter Jaclyn Diaz's piece focused on the lack of accountability for sexual harassment and assault in the legal profession, calling attention to the story of Melissa Rogozinski who was sexually assaulted by a "well-known" Alabama attorney. Her complaint to the state bar disciplinary division was dismissed, giving no reason.
