? F is for Failure — and that’s a good thing. I had the pleasure of attending "F for Failure," a powerful and vulnerable webinar led by Sabrina Patel and hosted by Women Impact Tech, focused on reframing failure as growth — not defeat. In honor of Women’s History Month, we explored tough but necessary questions: ?? Have you ever felt like a failure at work? ?? Do you struggle with imposter syndrome or self-worth? ?? How can we support women in tech and beyond to embrace missteps as stepping stones? It was an incredible session full of real talk, reflection, and connection. We shared stories, swapped strategies, and reminded one another that failure doesn’t define us — how we rise does. ?? On average, it takes women 15 extra months (or 438 days) to match what men earn in just one year. #EqualPayDay highlights how far into the new year women must work to catch up to men's earnings from the previous year—and in tech, the #genderpaygap remains a persistent challenge. Our latest Tech Salary Trends Report reveals: ?? The gender wage gap in tech stood at ~16.6% in 2020 and ~16.8% by 2023—showing little progress over five years. ?? While compensation rose 5.4% in 2024, women saw smaller increases than men (5.3% vs. 5.7%). ?? A brief narrowing of the gap in 2021-2022 coincided with companies prioritizing gender equity—but that momentum reversed in 2023. This continued disparity suggests that, despite past efforts, sustained and intentional action is still needed to achieve meaningful progress in #genderpayequity within the tech sector. Backed by insights from 1,800+ tech professionals, proprietary recruiting data, and public compensation records, our report tracks salary trends from 2020 to Present—through the pandemic boom, market correction, and stabilization. ??
