As the year winds down and the hustle picks up, it’s the perfect time to pause and reflect on how far we’ve come. For 20 years, Women’s Empowerment International has been a force for change. ?? ?? In the words of our co-founder Leigh Fenly: "My vision is about sustained growth and the continued focus on the power of microfinance to change the lives of women throughout the world. We have seen the enormous benefits women [facing poverty] reap when they are provided with very small, repayable loans." WE is about its members and donors, about bringing together those who share our goals while ensuring them that WE always carries out its mission with the highest standards and safeguards all donations. We did it! ?? We celebrated our 20th?anniversary of grantmaking at our signature event of the year that took place Sunday, September 22nd. We are filled with gratitude for all who came out to share in our mission and reflection our two decades of investment in economic empowerment for women facing poverty. Our grantmaking has created deep and long-term impact, and we are filled with energy and inspiration to continue the important work still needed to create a more equitable world for all. ?? ??
