Women Who Compute UT Dallas

Here at Women Who Compute, we are creating a community of students in computer science and engineering at the University of Texas at Dallas. We aim to empower women in technology through mentorship, personal and professional development, and provide insights into the industry through corporate and casual networking opportunities. We represent one of the largest women in technology organizations at UTD and provide a space that fosters mentoring, encourages personal and professional development, and exposes members to a diverse set of career options. Women Who Compute provides a space where women who have paralleled interests in computer science and engineering can engage with each other and build lasting connections while furthering their own careers. WWC has worked with companies such as Microsoft, JPMorgan Chase and Co., and CBRE on various events such as tech talks, networking events, and workshops. Our keynote event of the semester is Speed Mentoring, where students can learn more about roles and companies from recruiters and engineers themselves. By fostering a passion for computing and providing a strong support system for our members, Women Who Compute can help shape the next generation of powerful women in technology.
