Her Story of Strength is all about readiness, resilience, & a commitment to excellence. As the owner and Chief Regulatory Compliance Strategist of WOW Solutions, Lillian helps businesses in FDA-regulated industries ensure compliance to FDA standards. Lillian served in the Navy for 7 years as a Hospital Corpsman and Laboratory Technologist. She was stationed at the National Naval Medical Center and supported USNS Comfort’s humanitarian and readiness missions from 1997 to 2001. These experiences reinforced her commitment to service, resilience, and adaptability. She earned a bachelor's in microbiology, setting the stage for a 15yr civil service career with the Dept of the Army and FDA. She held critical public health and crisis response roles, earning multiple awards for her contributions during the H1N1 outbreak, multiple hurricanes, leadership & dedication. She launched WOW Solutions an endeavor rooted in her military, government, and leadership experience. No matter the mission, her approach remains: be ready, be resilient, and strive for excellence. ?? Speaker Alert! Welcome Commissioner Patricia Ross, to the Speaker Stage of the 3rd Annual National Women Veterans Pink and White Empowerment Summit, powered by Fiserv! In Nov. 2021, Patricia Ross was appointed as the Commissioner of Georgia Dept of Veterans Service (GDVS), supporting Georgia’s 1 million+ veterans and families. GDVS provides federal and state benefits counseling, operates 2 state veteran cemeteries and 2 skilled nursing facilities. Ross established a veteran suicide prevention program obtaining ~$3M in federal grants and manages the state’s veteran mental health grant, where key partners provide clinical services for military, veterans and their families. She also spearheaded a state-wide referral system which connected over 15,000 veterans to more than 600 partners across the state for a variety of needs. Prior to serving as Commissioner, she established The Georgia Veterans Education Career Transition Resource Center (VECTR Center) and served as the first Director of Military Affairs at the Technical College System of Georgia. After 25 years on active duty in the Air Force, Ross retired as a Colonel in October 2014 where she served as the vice commander of the Air Base Wing at Robins AFB in Warner Robins, Georgia. Ross has a doctorate in Leadership, Valdosta State University; master’s in systems engineering management, St. Mary’s University, Texas; master's degree, Air Command and Staff College; bachelor’s in mathematics, University of Tampa. She is also a graduate of the Air War College. Ross serves on two boards: VA’s Advisory Committee on the Readjustment of Veterans, and the National Center for PTSD’s Veteran Engagement Team. ? In 2023 she received the lifetime achievement award by The Warrior Alliance and was inducted into the Georgia Military Veterans Hall of Fame. In 2024 she received the Marvin Meyers Leadership Award from the Georgia Veterans Day Association. Meg also actively supports philanthropic endeavors, employee resource groups, employee giving and volunteering, and various other Corporate Social Responsibility programs within Fiserv. Her dedication to creating employee-centric programs that cultivate a positive workplace culture and contribute to the community is noteworthy. Before this, Meg served as a human resources officer in the U.S. Army, and she has worked with organizations within the manufacturing and human capital management sectors, gaining valuable insights from the civilian workforce. Meg's commitment to civic engagement extends into her personal life, where she previously served as President of the PTA at her daughter's school for two years and regularly volunteers with local organizations. A native of St. Louis, Renée says: “Since retirement in 2021, I continue to support young Navy sailors, providing career mentorship to help them navigate and succeed in their own naval journeys.†She adds, “In 2022, I had the privilege of awarding the Women Veterans Interactive Foundation - Commander Patricia Renée Wilson Legacy Scholarships to 3 remarkable prospective college students, who were accepted at accredited institutions to pursue degrees in STEM. All three recipients reside in the Greater St. Louis area.†Renée holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, an MBA, and she has completed numerous advanced programs including MIT’s Executive Program, Big Data: Making Complex Things Simpler.
