Each year in December, during the warm glow of the holidays, we come together to celebrate the season, each other, and our wins for the year! This year’s Holiday Luncheon will be held at the Ironlight in Lake Oswego. Easy parking, fabulous setting, delicious food, inspiring guest speaker, gift showcase, and an incredible gathering of women… Sounds like the perfect holiday recipe, and we’d love for you to be there!?

Mia Lui joined Women to Women only a few short months ago, and already, she is forging collaborative relationships with fellow members. Mia is a talented and creative personal chef with a passion for healthy food bursting with flavor! She is also the founder and owner of Wild Spice Creations. She specializes in organic, gluten-free, and dairy-free dishes and offers in-home personal chef services for both meal prep and special events. We have been inspired by Mia's curiosity and quest for knowledge about how to live a better, healthier life through good food. This same curiosity carries over into her conversations with fellow members as she explores opportunities to collaborate. Yesterday, our PDX Metro Chapter held its monthly Leadership Forum. This event series is all about purposeful leadership strategies and how we can be better leaders, empower others, and effect change to advance women in business as a whole. We engage in deep conversations around issues facing women and the challenges in our own companies, as well as the triumphs and accomplishments. We may hail from diverse backgrounds, industries, and business types, but we have a shared experience and much to learn from each other. Member Spotlight! We want to introduce you to Women to Women Network member Melissa Erickson. She is passionate about serving her community and has found her purpose working in the nonprofit sector. Melissa joined us this spring to bring awareness to the non-profit she serves: A Village for One Melissa is a Development Director for the organization, a 501(c)3 dedicated to providing resources to youth impacted by sexual exploitation and trafficking. Their website explains, "Our aim is to bring the talents and gifts of our community together to create an opportunity to serve each child that has been impacted by sexual exploitation in our local community. The community unites to provide youth with a home, nourishment, education, holistic healing, mentorship, service, and opportunity to grow, believe, and become their greatest potential." Melissa is just one of our many members working in the non-profit sector. We love that they are leveraging their membership and Women to Women Network to build more community connections to increase awareness and advance their missions. Part of our mission is to empower women to step into leadership and to become better leaders. We do this in part by creating leadership opportunities for our members to help guide the continued evolution and growth of the network as a whole.
