The Women in the Workplace Employment Scorecard incentivizes organizations to improve their policies and practices for female employees while also researching and promoting best practices to recruit, retain, and advance women. The 2025 Women in the Workplace Employment Scorecard is being released on Equal Pay Day, March 25, 2025.??This day is the symbolic observance that raises awareness and advocates for pay equity. Since its inception, over 100 local employers have participated in the?Women in the Workplace Employment Scorecard?with 80% reporting that after taking the survey, they plan to advocate for or implement a new policy or best practice to recruit and/or retain female workers. The Scorecard has been expanded?to include a focus on the unique issues facing traditionally male-dominated industries, including the construction industry as this continues to be a rising profession for women. Everyone makes a difference! In 2015 Lilly Ledbetter was the keynote speaker at Making a Difference where she shared her story with grace and humor, demonstrating that one woman can make a difference. Her landmark gender pay discrimination suit sparked her namesake legislation, the 2009 Fair Pay Restoration Act.

Making a Difference 2024 was a huge success!??We honored a champion of women, Ali Hogan, foundress and president of Rung for Women. We heard from one of our grantee organizations and?learned from Jessica Mayo and Magda Karina Carbajal of The Migrant Immigrant and Community Action Project the impact our grants have on their important work to enable immigrant women to have a path to employment.?
