Thanks for the #WomensDay love North American Association of Floor Covering Distributors (NAFCD)!! So glad to have you as a partner!
Happy International Women's Day! This year's theme is to #AccelerateAction, which emphasizes the importance of taking swift and decisive steps to achieve gender equality. It calls for increased momentum and urgency in addressing the systemic barriers and biases that women face, both in personal and professional spheres. So, together, let's Accelerate Action to speed up the rate of progress in our industry. Ideas for Action: 1. Show Your Appreciation for the Women in your Company: Show the women on your team how much you appreciate their contributions and expertise. Write a personal note or add a recommendation to their LinkedIn page for their whole network to see. One study on employee appreciation found that women respondents were 12% less likely than men respondents to receive managerial recognition and 11% less likely to receive peer-to-peer praise. Employee appreciation influences motivation, productivity, and employee engagement. So, giving a shoutout to the women on your team today may help them improve their contributions in the future. 2. Make Sure Women Employees Have NAFCD Accounts: NAFCD offers exclusive resources through our Members Only portal, such as our research center reports and member directories. Ensure that the women in your company have access to the member benefits by setting up an account for them through your company membership. 3. Connect with Women in the Floorcovering Industry (WIFI): This is an educational non-profit that attracts, educates, and empowers women in the flooring industry. WIFI activities are available to women and those in support of women in the flooring industry. NAFCD has been proud to partner with WIFI for previous events and Annual Convention Programming. Subscribe to their newsletter and receive the latest updates on their mentoring program, scholarship opportunities, and events throughout the year. #IWD2025 #nafcd #distribution #womenindistribution
