If students could change the government in #Bangladesh and convince Muhammad Yunus to guide shaping the future of their country, then female students can change the face of tech. The contribution of women in tech will change the mix of products in the market. It will add new leadership styles and new business models, and will ultimately change the #investment thesis of VCs, CVCs, and institutional investors. For, women have different problem-detecting senses and different ways of solving them. With that conviction, I showed up at 8:30 AM on a Sunday to join my #women colleagues in tech to share our insights with undergrad and grad #students at Tufts University, joined by their female peers from Boston University, Boston College, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Harvard University, Babson College, and others. I had the fortune to listen to: - Brittany Greenfield's teaching story, founding Wabbi, a cybersecurity startup, with no code background and taking it to Series A soon. - Dorit Levy-Zilbershot, deep pieces of advice about how she navigated her career to reach VP of product at ServiceNow, an AI firm serving enterprise workflow. - Deniz A. Johnson, long and deep experience in fintech and her remark that I never thought about, that security and compliance became a thing after banks abused the trust of the public. Before, she said: " banks were never questioned because they were supposed to be the banks, the entities that know what they were doing with people's money." - Alexandra Theodora Tsitsiringos, spoke about her fast career in smart payment with GoDaddy, and how fintech and AI are bundled now with other services to constitute a full experience with examples from her industry. I will recap my points to my young female bright audience in the #fintech panel and for everyone interested in fintech: 1- Life will throw hard balls at you, grab them as champs, and hit a home run. 2- Life will force you to hit the brakes and make detours, but keep in mind, at those moments that they may take you to better destinations. So, follow them with ease and imagination. 3- Fintech evolved in the last 10 years. Some segments in the US have matured and are consolidating. Others are emerging. The best US fintech opportunities are in intersections. Think #climate and fintech, #Femtech and fintech, #Healthcare and fintech, Communities and fintech, AI in fintech, #B2B fintech, #SME fintech, Embedded fintech in any tech solution. 4- All fintech is still hot and getting mainstream in many regions of the world, such as #Africa, the Middle East, South East Asia, and Latin America, starting with all #A2A #payments, consumer lending, micro and SME lending, retail investing, and covering all other more advanced segments. Thanks, Angela Yan for inviting me to your event. I made so many mentees and I will be in touch with you all Emilia Morgan, Brianna Taborda, Rachel Snyder, Ela Ben Saad, Caitlyn Wei, Hebat Elkacemi, and Koena Gupta. #tuftswit #wit

Panel Speaker at WIT: I am incredibly grateful to have been a part of the Women in Tech Tufts panel hosted by Tufts University. It was an honor to discuss the pressing challenges in cybersecurity and the transformative potential of AI alongside such inspiring and knowledgeable women. A heartfelt thank you to the organizers for putting together this impactful event and to my fellow panelists for their insightful contributions. The exchange of ideas and experiences was truly enriching, and I am excited about the future of women in technology. Special thanks to my co-panelists Meghan Martinez, GCIH, GCFA, GCLD, CISSP, Joanna Vahlsing, Meg Speranza, Saroja Hanasoge, MBA for their valuable insights and for making the discussion so engaging. It was an honor to share the panel with you all. Your extensive experience and leadership in digital transformations and cybersecurity are truly inspiring. And a big thank you to our moderator, Rindha Reddy for guiding the discussion so effectively. Thank you Meghan Martinez, GCIH, GCFA, GCLD, CISSP for the opportunity to be on the panel. How many cyberattacks occur per day? With a cybercrime happening every 39 seconds, the role of AI in cybersecurity is more critical than ever. AI thrives on data, analyzing patterns to predict and alert us before an attack occurs. From threat detection and phishing prevention to malware identification and incident response, AI is revolutionizing our approach to cybersecurity. Additionally, blockchain technology offers promising solutions to prevent data breaches. By decentralizing data storage, encrypting information, ensuring immutability, and providing transparency and traceability, blockchain can significantly enhance our cybersecurity measures. Given the rapid advancements in AI and blockchain, how do we see their roles evolving in the fight against cybercrime? Looking forward to continuing these important conversations and driving innovation in the field of Cybersecurity and AI. #WomenInTech #Cybersecurity #AI #Blockchain #TuftsUniversity #LasellUniversity

Meet me tomorrow at the Women in Tech Tufts conference 2024 at the #Fintech panel discussion in block C from 1 pm- 1:45 pm, I will be sharing my thoughts about: ? What got me into FinTech and have my reasons changed over time ? How has fintech changed throughout my journey in it ? The trends now in fintech investment and the technologies and regions that are standing out for growth. Check the schedule segment in the comment. I have been long enough in fintech, over 10 years now, and deep enough (taught, chaired a fintech program, advised fintech startups, and developed fintech solutions). I am ready to tell you the essence of my current thoughts around the evolution of this vertical, where it stands now around the world, and how is #AI making its magic touch on it, like all other sectors. I look forward to our conversation Deniz A. Johnson and Alexandra Theodora Tsitsiringos I was busy and did not get my ticket. I tried to get it tonight and the event is sold out. I looked up the schedule and the arrangements and it sounds huge with all the parking logistics, guidance, volunteers,... I can't wait to sense all the energy and listen to the illuminating ideas and experiences of the incredible speakers lined up. #fintech #tuftswomenintechconference2024 #wit #womenintech #massachussetsevents #unitedstatesevents #bostonevents #technology #stem #womeninstem #tuftsuniversity #tuftswit
