We may be small, but we continue to work to assemble a body of evidence on the value and impact of Boys & Girls Clubs from every angle. It's the Tetris puzzle that we're building, piece by piece. And we do this while supporting (and challenging) our federation to use social science for good, ask critical questions and use what we learn to shape what we do for young people. To support us in this journey, we’re hiring for an applied researcher/evaluator. The obvious non-negotiables are a commitment to youth development, a collaborative mindset, systems thinking, a hunger to investigate complex questions and that thing that makes people want to trust you and work with you. Must also hold a deep belief that all of this only matters if it improves how we work with professionals, youth, families and communities. I am currently looking to hire two postdoctoral researchers to collaborate with me on my NSF CAREER project focused on longitudinal study design and analysis. The ideal candidates would have expertise in areas such as longitudinal data analysis, multilevel modeling, or difference-in-differences, along with proficiency in using statistical software like R or Stata for simulations and package development. However, I am also open to candidates with expertise in causal inference or experimental/quasi-experimental design and analysis.
