When considering all Native women earners, including seasonal and part-time workers, they were paid an average of 55% of what non-Hispanic white men earned in 2022, according to data from the U.S. Census Bureau. #NativeWomensEqualPay highlights the urgency of dismantling wage gaps that disproportionately affect Native women, femme-aligned and gender-expansive individuals. Empowering the leaders of tomorrow! Our GirlGov Middle School program has been diving deep into the concept of human rights and dreaming big about what they would champion as future presidents! Last month, they put together a visionary collage to showcase their ideals for a brighter future. Their creativity shines as they explore the rights they believe in and how they want to make a difference in the world. It's so inspiring to see these students recognize their civic power and understand the importance of advocacy at such an early age.
