However little?TikTok Shop’s?top-selling beauty products may initially seem to have in common — the cohort ranges from neck firming cream to chewable toothpaste to electric razors, according to Charm — value pricing and, often, a kind of functionality that translates well on video, is where they intersect. Take a brand like GoPure, whose firming neck cream netted $1.8 million in?TikTok Shop?sales in August — and has sold just under 400,000 units on the platform to date. The company relies heavily on flash sales to promote the product, an MO shared by fast-growing Korean beauty brand Medicube, which is another high performer on TikTok best known for its LED facial wand, and hair tool brand Wavytalk, whose straightening brush was the second highest-selling product on TikTok Shop for the month, totaling $1.3 million in sales. Formerly an Amazon-exclusive brand upon its launch in 2021, Wavytalk — which added celebrity hairstylist Andrew Fitzsimons to its camp as an ambassador this summer — netted $12.6 million in sales on TikTok Shop during the first half of 2024. GOOD AMERICAN has appointed Paul Griffin as president, succeeding Melissa Anderson. “As we grow and expand, we want to ensure we have the right people to support us in achieving our goals,” Emma Grede, Good American’s chief executive officer and cofounder, told WWD in a statement. “With an extensive background in luxury fashion, Paul brings a wealth of experience and leadership skills to?Good?American?that will be instrumental in strengthening our position within the fashion industry.” Griffin was formerly president and chief executive officer of France-based SMCP – Sandro, Maje, Claudie Pierlot, Fursac Group, whose portfolio includes Sandro, Maje, Claudie Pierlot and Fursac, overseeing its North American market since 2015. Victoria Beckham ?is merging the best of?artificial intelligence?and real life photography in her label’s latest handbag campaign. She worked with an AI artist to produce eight images featuring models carrying the bag, which was shot separately and then integrated into the AI images in post-production. In one image, a female model is laying down on what looks like the inside of a car with a black dog in her lap and a Dorian bag, a square shape with a B buckle, by her side.
