? Celebrating the Power of Collective Giving in Puerto Rico ? This evening, Women's Funding Network had the privilege of attending an inspiring event hosted by Fundación de Mujeres en Puerto Rico (FMnPR)—a proud member of WFN. FMnPR plays a critical role in shaping the future of gender equity in Puerto Rico, bridging the voices of women in diaspora and on the island to advocate for lasting impact. Their work underscores the urgent need to bring members of the Commonwealth of Nation's and territories into the global and national philanthropy conversation, ensuring all communities have access to the resources they deserve. Congratulations to Fundación de Mujeres en Puerto Rico on a successful event at El Museo del Barrio! As we reflect on this gathering, it is clear that the philanthropic sector should look to Women’s Funds for the abundance and sisterhood that exists in making a difference for women, girls, and gender-expansive folks. Their localized approach and deep cultural humility should serve as a model for philanthropy at large. Women’s Funds have long shaped gender lens philanthropy—let’s keep giving these institutions their flowers! ?? We were honored to join the women's fund ecosystem as well as, other WFN members and partners in solidarity with FMnPR’s incredible grantee partners and supporters. A huge shoutout to the remarkable organizations in this movement and in this photo: ?? VidaAfrolatina ?? The Haitian Women's Collective ?? Women's Foundation California ?? Fondation Chanel When we come together, we build stronger, more inclusive philanthropic networks that uplift women, girls, and gender-expansive people worldwide. ?? ?? WFN is so proud to stand alongside these changemakers—check out the incredible organizations represented in this photo! #FundGenderEquity #WomensFundingNetwork #Philanthropy #PuertoRico #CollectiveGiving #FMnPR #GenderJustice #WomensFundsLead

We do that by galvanizing the financial power and influence of gender equity funders to address and solve critical, complex social issues ranging from poverty to global security. Our Partnership for Women’s Prosperity initiative has moved 43,200 no- and low-income women in over 100 communities around the United States out of poverty and into secure jobs. Our values - equality, partnership, transparency, diversity, and inclusion - guide everything we do, every day.

Today, as we reflect on the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., his words remind us of the resilience and hope required to create lasting change: "We must accept finite disappointment but never lose infinite hope." In a time of uncertainty and transformation, Dr. King's message resonates deeply with the work we do at Women's Funding Network. As we navigate challenges and face setbacks in the pursuit of equity and justice, we hold steadfast to the belief that hope is a powerful catalyst for progress. The fight for gender and racial equity is not linear – it requires courage, persistence, and a collective commitment to keep moving forward. At Women’s Funding Network, we stand with our community of changemakers, funders, and advocates who continue to uplift and invest in solutions that create opportunities for women, girls, and gender-expansive individuals. This MLK Day, we recommit to fostering hope and driving change in communities across the globe. Together, we can transform disappointment into momentum and build a future grounded in justice, equity, and boundless hope.

Ipas hosted a conversation to kick off this year’s international 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence campaign. They focused on three interrelated factors—child marriage, teenage pregnancy, and school dropout—that frequently deny young people the right to make their own informed decisions about their sexual and #reproductivehealth.
