Honoring the National Day of Rest for Black Women Today, we pause to recognize the importance of rest, healing, and rejuvenation for Black women. It's a day to acknowledge the strength, resilience, and contributions of Black women, while also creating space for them to prioritize their well-being. We celebrate their achievements, amplify their voices, and support their need for rest. #NationalDayofRest #BlackWomen #SelfCare #RestIsResistance #HonorBlackWomen

WCRC improves equitable access to cancer information, support and care.
关于我们
The Women’s Cancer Resource Center (WCRC) improves equitable access to cancer information, support and care. WCRC offers services to any person with any type of cancer, with a focus on those who are low-income, people of color, and members of the queer/trans community. WCRC staff have long observed that cancer often is not the greatest concern for the low-income and marginalized individuals in our client population. Limited access to primary health care, inadequate health services and financial resources, language and cultural barriers, racism, low literacy, fear, and mistrust of medical systems contribute to late diagnosis and earlier death, especially for African American, Latinx, and all other groups of low-income women diagnosed with cancer. WCRC provides a set of comprehensive, coordinated services that include cancer navigation, peer support, information and referral, and wellness programs to mitigate these problems for people with limited access to essential, life-giving care. WCRC is a 501 (c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization. All of our services are FREE and we are funded 100% by charitable giving. Our federal tax ID is 94-3131204.

Research shows that joining a support group improves quality of life and survival. For example, support groups can help you feel better, give you a chance to talk about your feelings and work through them, help you deal with practical problems (like problems at work or school), and even help you cope with the side effects of treatment. WCRC offers support and compassionate cancer care for all! Learn more at www.wcrc.org
