News and views for career-minded women.
关于我们
Women's Agenda is a publication for career-minded, time-poor women who want to stay ahead of the conversation. Our team of coffee-loving, media junkies enjoy nothing more than waking up early to make your business day better. We determine the day's agenda before most people hit snooze on their smart phones, so you can get informed and productive. Our morning update features an edit of the day's key issues - a quick conversational scan to help you prepare for any elevator ride - as well as our latest views on making careers, work and business better for women. We're an independent publication first launched by Private Media in 2012 and acquired by its founding editor Angela Priestley in 2016. Our business survives off advertising, sponsors, and by helping organisations with content strategy and marketing, especially those looking to engage women. After publishing more than 1000 newsletters, 7000 stories and managing dozens of events, we intimately understand the needs and desires of career-minded, time-poor women. Indeed, we are such women ourselves! We're busy and sleep deprived but seriously passionate about what we do. We also all work flexibly, managing priorities ranging from kids, to travel, to writing books and building businesses. Get in touch with us at [email protected]

Th federal election has been called. The campaign will be a real test of our democracy. It will test our resolve on misinformation and populist fearmongering. It will be a battle for attention, with politicians doing everything possible to get their message in front of audiences. For women, the consequences are real. Angela Priestley shares this piece on why the campaign and the ultimate outcomes will be seriously consequential for Australian women, especially at a time when women’s rights globally are under attack. #FederalElection2025 https://lnkd.in/g2w5pMWA

Three male GPs, six different oral contraception prescriptions, three psychologists, and one validating female GP later, and I had a referral to a gynaecologist. No one deserves to live with endo pain, but all too many still do. I am turning my pain into a passion for change, and I want to inspire other women living with endometriosis to do the same, writes Rachel Hosking. Full story: https://lnkd.in/g6Nx4UXr

Men in local leadership roles are not aware of gender biases within various forms of leadership,?new research?by the University of South Australia has revealed.?Due to this unawareness, they are less likely to challenge dominant and biased stereotypes compared to women. “When we asked the men about gender bias, they didn’t believe that it existed for women or men leaders. And because of that, they couldn’t deconstruct these ideas to understand how they functioned and impacted people in the workplace," Dr Lynette Washington. While waving a dead fish in the Senate, Sarah Hanson-Young accused the federal government of having “stitched up” a deal with the Opposition to “gut out environmental laws… all in the name of a toxic, polluting salmon industry”. https://lnkd.in/gcn6kdeV
