Alumni Spotlight: Julius Duchscherer Julius Duchscherer arrived at NC State from Germany with little idea of what to expect. Leaving behind his home, family, and friends was a challenge, but it was the best decision he ever made. His teammates, coaches, and the Wolfpack community made Raleigh feel like home, and he quickly embraced the opportunity to grow both on and off the field. As a midfielder, Duchscherer played a key role for NC State Men's Soccer. One of his favorite moments came in his first ACC game against Boston College. In overtime, something not used in German soccer, he set up the game-winning goal, celebrating with fans in a moment he will never forget. After graduating in 2018 with degrees in Business Management and Psychology, Julius returned to Germany to start his own business as a mental coach for soccer players in the Bundesliga, helping them develop the mental strength needed to succeed. Outside of his career, Julius’s greatest pride is his family, including his wife, daughter, and soon-to-be son. His advice for student-athletes? “Marry the process, divorce the outcome.”?A lesson he learned at NC State, and one he now teaches to the next generation of players. – – –? Really enjoyed taking a few Red Wolf Society members to Cameron Indoor for a hard fought game against Duke! Bucket list experience for myself and I am very grateful for the opportunity to make these memories with some of our best supporters. Rode in style, enjoyed dinner at Capital City Chop House, and gave the Cameron Crazies all we could. Our first ever "Red Wolf Society Weekend" was a huge success! We had so many of our most loyal supporters, some traveling far distances, come and spend a weekend in Raleigh with the Wolfpack Club and other Red Wolf Society members. The weekend included a tour of the Belltower, a reception in Reynolds before cheering on our volleyball team take down UNC, as well as a field recognition during the football game Saturday. There isn't an amount of recognition in the world that we could do to thank these folks enough for their support of our current student-athletes and setting the foundation for the generations to come. #RedWolfSociety #GoPack #WolfpackClub
