Where in the world is WM Symposia (WM)? WM recently attended FDR2024 in Fukushima, Japan. The Japan Society of Mechanical Engineers (JSME) and the Atomic Energy Society of Japan (AESJ) jointly organized this International Topical Workshop on Fukushima-Daiichi Decommissioning Research 2024 (FDR2024), a follow-up to the successful previous meetings held in 2019 and 2022. The topical workshop promotes a broad global exchange of information on technologies, operations, management and safety for the Research and Development activities on decommissioning and dismantling of the Fukushima-Daiichi Nuclear Power Station. The on-site workshop attracted worldwide experts to present their work on current and future activities on Fukushima-Daiichi decommissioning, showing the steady recovery of Fukushima. Kazuhiro Suzuki, WM Board Member (front row, third on left) and Gary Benda, WM Deputy Managing Director/Program Advisory Committee Chair (front row, center left) participated in all three conferences in 2019, 2022 and 2024. #WMSymposia #FDR2024
