William & Mary’s Studio for Teaching & Learning Innovation is excited to honor David Homard, CFA in our Thank-A-Teacher Program for his exceptional contributions to the campus learning community! One student shared that having him as an instructor was an inspiring experience: "Thank you so much for all your hard work throughout the semester so far; it definitely hasn't gone unnoticed. I can't imagine how difficult it would be to teach a class for the first time, especially a class like Investments in the business school. I know some days it seems like the class isn't going great and some things are out of sorts, but I am learning a lot and truly enjoy coming each day. You never fail to make the class engaging with lessons such as the efficient markets hypothesis and our daily Kahoots. I know you are juggling a lot each day with your job, your various teaching roles, as well as everything else that comes along, and I wanted to quickly send my appreciation for everything you do. I hope you continue to teach Investments so more students can take your course in future years. Thank you!"

As one of her students reflects, having her as an instructor was an exceptional experience: "There's a section of posters in Swem highlighting the physics department, and I noticed yours mentioned your passion for teaching. I just want to say that passion shows as clear as day. Coming into physics, I was so scared that it would be a really hard weeder class that would kill my GPA. Instead, I find that I'm actually learning and doing better than I thought I would. It's obvious you want us to understand physics by how you slowly and clearly break down difficult concepts. And I greatly appreciate how exams are graded based on understanding the process even if a brain fart causes you to miss a negative or something. Thank you for a great semester and I'm actually looking forward to PHYS 108 with you."
