Wm. Blanchard Co. is proud to have participated in the Groundbreaking Ceremony on Thursday, October 10th for the new $50 million Emergency Department Expansion project at the HMH Palisades Medical Center. This important project will double the size of the current Emergency Department and provide private treatment bays that will emphasize patient comfort and safety.?This multi-phased project is anticipated to be completed by the end of 2026. We are excited to collaborate with the project team, which includes Cumming Group as the Owner's Representative and POMARICO DESIGN STUDIO ARCHITECTURE as the Architect.

Blanchard was very grateful for the opportunity to spend August 16th at the Monmouth Park Racetrack with the Professional Women in Construction New Jersey Chapter!

On July 12th the Associated Construction Contractors of New Jersey held their annual Safety Award presentation. There were over 50 awards for either “No Lost Work Days” or “Incidents Below National Average". Out of those 50+ only 14 received an award from the AGC. During the awards the Wm Blanchard Co was presented with the award for “No Lost Work Days” for 2023 along with an award from the Associated General Contractors of America for “No Lost Work Days” for 2023 for the 5th continuous year. Curt Jones would like to thank all the Project Managers and Superintendents for their assistance in making these awards possible.

On June 18th, our company participated in a ribbon cutting ceremony for the completion of the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) Phase 1. This 25,000 SF renovation of existing ICU space into a?brand-new?state of the art private room PACU suite is part of an overall 130,000 SF, multiyear Surgical Platform expansion and renovation. This project also included a 3,000 SF infill of an existing roof to connect the two buildings. The new PACU consists of fifty-four (54) private rooms with three (3) nurse stations, a sensory room, expanded waiting area and associated support spaces. Another phase will follow to further expand this area by an additional 7,000 SF.

On May 21st, WBCo participated in the Women of Achievement Luncheon for the Professional Women in Construction New Jersey Chapter. Rebecca Gannon, PE and Nilda Meralla spent the afternoon meeting and interacting with other women in the New Jersey construction industry. This event provided a fantastic opportunity for them to connect with industry leaders and share experiences!
