This weekend, the Cynthia and George Nichols III Intercultural Student Engagement Center inducted the Tyreon Clark Class of the Why Knot Us Black Male Initiative.
The event featured reflections from Hilltoppers DaSean Tyus, Jordan Upchurch-Mims, and Carrigan Watson. Danny Carothers, a coach, mentor, and Community Programs Director at The Foundry, shared a charge with the group.
Each fall, new members are inducted into the organization. This year, 15 Hilltoppers joined as part of the Tyreon Clark Class.

This is the fifth year of Why Knot Us, a program designed to establish a sense of community and connectedness through social bonding activities, academic and professional workshops, and engagement in cultural travel experiences, which assists in the retention and persistent ends to graduation from Western Kentucky University.
