I love this article from Tom Marks and IGN that talks about our core approaches to Magic: The Gathering. It features a lot of commentary from Mark Rosewater and myself, and is a great look inside the Magic studio. 10 years ago we worked on the "Principles of Magic R&D"...and the top one was "We are stewards of Magic -- We believe Magic will last forever, and we want Magic to be bigger tomorrow than it is today.” That was true a decade ago, and it's true today.

Magic: The Gathering will feature at SPIEL Essen, world’s largest board game convention, from 3-6 Oct! This year, we’re partnering with Blackfire and Ultimate Guard to bring two distinct Magic experiences to life across two unique booths. At the Ultimate Guard booth (Hall 1 / Booth 1C611), the spotlight will be on our latest release, Duskmourn: House of Horror, where visitors can dive into immersive demo experiences. Meanwhile, the Blackfire booth (Hall 1 /Booth 1E315) will serve as a Magic evergreen space, offering starter kit demos designed to introduce new players to the game. To enhance the experience, both booths will feature enticing demo rewards such as buttons, dice, or welcome boosters. Additionally, we’ll be offering special purchase incentives in the form of oversized Duskmourn cards, including The Wandering Rescuer and Winter, Misanthropic Guide.
