?? Exciting times in Bentonville! ?? This past Thursday, we had the privilege of attending the second annual Midcontinent Venture Capital Summit right here in Northwest Arkansas. Hosted by Cortado Ventures, in partnership with Runway Group and Visit Bentonville, the event was nothing short of inspirational. With 370 attendees from across 30 states and an astounding $1.5 trillion in investable capital represented, it's clear that Bentonville is rapidly becoming a hotspot for early-stage investing. Carin and I are immensely grateful for the opportunity to connect with so many brilliant minds, from investors to founders and everyone in between. Celebrating 8 years of business! In March of 2016, Andy and Carin loaded up and moved to Bentonville, AR. Carin Martin, LCSW had made the suggestion to her new husband Andy Martin, MSCS to try and work remotely for his Calabasas, CA employer while starting Moonlight Games, LLC. It worked, and they both had jobs lined up! They moved into their first home and got a puppy. As the name suggested, Andy worked as a full time contractor while also incubating several internal ideas, including a multiplayer concert RPG, live event ticketing website, concert scheduling app, jewelry wishlist app, and influence measurement app. In 2019, Carin, who had been a star employee in her social work career, wanted to work part time and be available for their children. She became the company's first employee. In her new role, she wanted something better for her customers and led the development team with new designs for the jewelry wishlist app, to support new stores they had been talking to. In 2022, they unlocked their potential by imagining our CRM platform Wishfluence and setting a north star that we have been following ever since. Cheers for 8 years!??
