These images are of a 13-year-old male presented with a progressive right leg valgus deformity and associated leg length discrepancy of 7mm as a result of a distal femur physeal fracture (Salter-Harris Type 6). Partial lateral physeal arrest was confirmed with an MRI. ? An acute correction distal femoral osteotomy was performed with varus, extension, and lateral translation.?Restoration of normal mechanical axis was confirmed using the Bovie cord test. The osteotomy was augmented with tricortical iliac crest allograft. A simultaneous physeal bar resection was performed.? ? Fixation was accomplished with a 4.5mm Distal Femoral Locking Plate with zero offset and 5° flare from the WishBone Medical PRIMA system. ? At the 10-week follow-up, the patient had regained full ROM and normal gait without a limp. ?
