关于我们
For more than 90 years, WISEPlace has served more than 8,500 women by pairing housing solutions with wrap around services like counseling and mental health services, case management and addiction recovery, and employment assistance. At WISEPlace, we serve unaccompanied women experiencing homelessness who often lack the support system of a spouse, significant other, or children. The stats are startling: 1 in every 3 homeless adults in the U.S. is an unaccompanied woman (a population that is severely underserved and overlooked nationally), but WISEPlace is where they can get the help and support to rebuild their lives. The heart of what we do is provide a community of hope and housing where participants are supported with vital wrap-around services on their journey from homelessness to personal self-reliance. A donation of any amount will support WISEPlace and our participants. Interested in donating? See some ways your funds make a real impact on the lives of the women at WISEPlace by visiting: www.wiseplace.org/donate-now. As an unaccompanied woman experiencing homelessness, we are here for you. If you are in need of assistance, please email [email protected] or call (714) 542-3577.

#WISEPlace #BoardofDirectors Spotlight! As Vice President of Governance and Audit on our WISEPlace Board of Directors, Nahal Kazemi has been instrumental in supporting our mission. For years, she’s generously provided pro-bono legal guidance to help WISEPlace participants get the support they need. An Assistant Professor of Law at Chapman University and Of Counsel at Keller/Anderle, Nahal’s background as an attorney and former diplomat gives her a unique perspective on community empowerment and adds incredible depth to her work. We’re endlessly grateful for her expertise, compassion, and the incredible difference she’s making here at WISEPlace. Thank you, Nahal!

For unaccompanied women experiencing homelessness in Orange County, #WISEPlace is a beacon of hope. Being in our supportive environment with access to safe shelter, warm meals, and vital wraparound services is critical to achieving self-reliance and leaving homelessness behind forever. There are four vulnerable, unaccompanied women still on our waitlist desperately need your help. One of these women is Maria. Maria is 22 years old and has been experiencing homelessness off and on for the past four years. Born to a single mother who became addicted to substances, Maria was placed in foster care as a young teenager. At her group home, she endured daily verbal abuse, became depressed, and eventually dropped out of high school. On her own since age 18 with no family or support system, she has struggled to find a job and housing. Maria spends every night afraid that she won't survive another day. Maria is currently on our waitlist and YOU can provide her with safe shelter and supportive services by joining the 2024 Hope & Housing Alliance. Please join the Hope & Housing Alliance to take Maria and the remaining women off our waitlist and on a path to personal stability. Our goal is to raise $450,000 to end homelessness for 45 women on our waitlist. We have raised $410,014 so far, but we still need to raise $39,986 BY DECEMBER 31 to reach our goal!
