Meet Grace! Grace was born and raised in Dallas, TX until moving to the northeast to complete her undergraduate degree at Middlebury College in Vermont.? Grace works collaboratively with adolescents and their families on challenges related to depression, anxiety, self-harm, and suicidality. She is also trained to work with teens and families in navigating crisis situations and the different levels of the mental healthcare system. Grace utilizes a person-centered and non-judgmental approach to develop strong therapeutic relationships with her clients. She pulls techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy to best meet each of her client’s needs.? Meet Tiffaney! Tiffaney holds a Master of Science Degree in Counseling with a concentration in School Counseling from the University of the District of Columbia. By day, Tiffaney works as an elementary school counselor where she teaches students tools to manage their emotions. She also frequently consults with parents and teachers. Tiffaney has coordinated parent workshops on various subjects. She brings her knowledge of the school setting experience and a love for helping others to The Wise Family. Tiffaney is a DMV transplant originally from Pittsburgh, PA. She is an avid Steelers fan and enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and staying active. Meet Tati Rodriguez! Tati is a queer Latina and licensed professional counselor (VA) and the Clinical Director at The Wise Family. She’s also a board-approved Supervisor for LPC residents. Tati enjoys collaboratively working with teens and young adults. She believes that her role is to provide them with support on their healing journey as they discover what already exists within them, make decisions that feel right for them, and create meaningful change that they want for themselves. Tati is an LGBTQ+ affirming EMDR trained Clinician and Certified Women’s Circle Facilitator. She also writes letters of referral for gender-affirming medical care, provides coaching for parents of LGBTQ+ youth, and facilitates consultation for providers on issues relevant to working with LGBTQ+ youth.? Meet Katie! Katie is one of our Supervisees in Clinical Social Work! Katie completed her undergraduate degree at the University of the South. After graduating, she earned her Master’s through the University of Denver’s Graduate School of Social Work with a concentration in Mental Health and Trauma. Her academic career serves as a reflection of her passion for celebrating others as well as working with children. She focused her studies on ways to best support children in being confident in themselves, and their ability to live mindfully and regulate their emotions and behaviors. Katie’s social work interests include helping those struggling with anxiety, depression, and eating disorders. She hopes to become a registered play therapist and help kids confidently be themselves! In her free time, Katie runs, drinks coffee, spends time with her friends and family, and explores the DC area.
