The Veterans Chamber of Commerce was founded in 2015. Since then, we have grown to be a community of veterans, military family members, and civilians working to support each other. Whether through entrepreneurship, professional development, community service, or simply connecting with other veterans, we're committed to making sure veterans have every opportunity to be successful. We serve veterans and military families by providing resources to support veteran-owned and veteran-friendly businesses across Wisconsin. We are the voice of Wisconsin’s veteran business community, dedicated to improving the business climate for military veterans and their allies. The Veterans Chamber brings together veterans, businesses, and community leaders around business development, workforce development, and community support to ensure the success of Wisconsin veterans. OUR MISSION At a time when there are fewer people serving in the military than ever, and fewer civilians with a direct connection to the military, stereotypes, and stigmas about veterans overshadow the vast majority of veterans who are assets and make contributions by starting businesses, leading in their workplace, and serving their communities. Our organization is dedicated to supporting and giving them the opportunities they've earned. For some, that means starting and owning their own business. For others, it means a quality education and a meaningful, fulfilling career. And for some, it means serving their communities through volunteer or nonprofit work. Our motivation is to highlight this aspect of military veterans' character and empower all veterans to live up to their extraordinarily high potential!

Thomas J Parr, M.S.Ed., Regional Director for the Wisconsin Veterans Chamber of Commerce (WVCC) is proud to promote next month's Non-Profit Chamber Spotlight: Janis Strutt, founder of Morgan's Caring Connection, will be explaining more about her newly formed organization in honor of her Daughter. Janis has a story that everyone should hear. It is about challenges, setbacks, and perseverance. Roughly one year ago, Janis left a comfortable occupation to start her Non-Profit. In that short amount of time, she has built the framework for an amazing organization which is delivering fantastic outcomes for those using her services. For her work so far, Janis just received the BizX 2024- Las Vegas "Best Non-Profit Organization" in its first year! This coveted award is sponsored by ActionCOACH Global and is such a great way to recognize all Janis has done to build her platform.
