Wisconsin Mutual [is] organized as a mutual company and continues to operate as one, being fully owned by its policyholders. The company writes business in the state of Wisconsin and expanded into Minnesota in 2016. Wisconsin Mutual utilizes over 1,000 agents in 200 agencies. Wisconsin Mutual insures 42,000 properties and 70,000 automobiles, with policies written in every county. The company handles all but a few of its claims out of the 6 adjuster offices located throughout the state and the Madison home office. With more than 220 insurance companies writing private passenger automobile coverage in Wisconsin, Wisconsin Mutual ranks 11th in direct written premiums. The company is also one of the top writers in property coverage in Homeowner premiums and in Farmowner premiums. In addition to the Automobile, Homeowner and Farmowner packages, the company also writes Fire and Extended Coverage, Commercial Packages, Mobile Homeowner, Umbrella and Other Liability coverages, along with Boats, Recreational Vehicles and other Personal Inland Marine items. Wisconsin Mutual has experienced an extended period of consistent growth recording increased direct premiums in 37 out of the past 40 years. Profitability has also been exceptional as the company has increased surplus in 25 out of the last 29 years. With the steady growth of profitable business, Wisconsin Mutual has also retained one of the best operating expense ratios in the industry providing consumers more value for their insurance dollar with a secure Wisconsin based company. Partnering with Chainsaws for Christ, Trevor helped clear debris, assess damage, and bring hope to families who had lost everything.
