关于我们
ABOUT WILS: WILS is a local volunteer organization that identifies outstanding high school sophomores throughout Wisconsin and provides them with the opportunity and encouragement to recognize their leadership potential. The guidance counselor or principal at each high school across the state is invited to nominate one student who already exhibits positive leadership qualities in their school and community and/or shows leadership potential that may simply need some added encouragement. 2018 marks the 41st straight year that our program will be offered at no cost to the schools or students! The high-energy weekend consists of team-building activities, motivational speakers, community service, a talent show, and panels of key leaders from various industries, small group discussions, and more. We encourage leadership development through emphasis on personal responsibility, volunteerism, increased awareness of social issues, and open-minded analysis of all sides of an issue when making decisions. OUR MISSION: To identify outstanding high school sophomores throughout Wisconsin for being responsible citizens in their community and/or school and provide them with the opportunity and encouragement to recognize their leadership potential. The mission is carried on throughout the year and into future seminars through our Alumni Association. The alumni hold reunions and perform community service several times between each seminar in order to maintain the WILS spirit and to continue friendships.
