WCHA is appreciative of the partnership we have with Impact Association Management... and we are very excited about undertaking our strategic plan in 2025!
At the recent Wisconsin County Highway Association (WCHA) Winter Conference, Impact was proud to play a role in shaping the future of the association! Our CEO, Jodi Fisher, CAE, COO, Kirsten Reader, and Senior Meeting Planner, Amanda Kelly, CMP, were all onsite, leading discussions on WHCA’s 10-year strategic plan and actively gathering valuable feedback from stakeholders. Congratulations, Sheboygan County Highway Commissioner Bryan Olson and his Team!!! ?? The Sheboygan County, Wisconsin Transportation Department – Highway Division is being honored with the James B. Sorenson Award for Excellence in Pavement Preservation?for their outstanding pavement preservation program! ?? This prestigious award shines a light on agencies who overcome the challenges of executing a pavement preservation program, forging a path toward a future of sustainable road management. Sheboygan County recognized the need for pavement preservation to reach their goal of 30-year pavement life cycles from the standard 15 years. In the face of this ambition objective, they pursued innovative funding strategies, intentional public engagement and investments in research, equipment and technologies. Sheboygan County stands out from other counties as they own and maintain their own full road construction, preservation, maintenance and reconstruction services. This award nomination offers in-depth features on their work. Highlights include use of preserved Centerline Rumble Strips for enhanced safety, Warm Mix Asphalt production and a robust Chip Sealing program. They also have engaged a full-scale research section called SCOPE for proactive understanding of roadway stressors, leading to improved maintenance practices. The Wisconsin County Highway Association (WCHA) will host an award ceremony on January 13th at the 2025 WCHA Winter Highway Conference to celebrate Sheboygan County’s inspiring achievements. ?

This week, the Wisconsin County Highway Association (WCHA) was pleased to co-host the 2024 "Winter Tech Talk" with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT). Wisconsin has seen unseasonably warm weather this fall, but that doesn't mean the crews within our County Highway Departments aren't preparing for the winter ahead. Great turnout and discussion by all on topics ranging from technological approaches to snow and ice management, to the latest methods and equipment, to the readiness of our workers. Thank you, Barron County Highway Department and Northwoods Technical College for hosting us! Wisconsin Department of Transportation
