AI empowers the strong and experienced, but has zero or even negative impact on the weak or junior. This is a common thread I see across various studies. The reason is that AI is good at simple or repetitive tasks, but it needs the human expert to guide it towards the right goals and tasks and evaluate its outputs. This is something only experienced professionals can do. Question: how can we help junior PMs grow faster and gain the necessary experience to get value from AI faster? Answer: teach them to ask the right questions and discover their blind spots. And BTW, AI can help with this task pretty well. That's exactly what we are doing at Wisary!
I just posted an end of the year article summarizing where I think we are in terms of the impact of generative AI on the product manager role. As a reminder, my focus is on product model companies, as I think the impact is very different on feature team PM's and delivery team PO's. This article also highlights what I consider some remarkable and thought-provoking new research from MIT's Aidan Toner-Rodgers. I hope people find it useful. Wishing everyone a happy and healthy 2025: https://lnkd.in/gKj3VpfR

John Conneely describes a simple, clear, and effective approach to writing PRDs with the help of AI: 1) Choose the right template 2) Know which questions you need to ask yourself to fill out each section and you can use the help of AI for that 3) Fill out the temple with the content - and you can use the help of AI to do that as well Wisary, instead of asking PMs to follow these steps and learn how to leverage AI along the way, guides teams to follow this flow with step by step guidance - powered by AI and integrated into Confluence.
A Flexible Approach to PRD Templates #JohnsTipOfTheWeek #48 I'm right up against the wire on this one, and posting on a Sunday evening to keep the weekly tips going! This is a good one though, and if you write PRDs, it's worth a read. I’ve shared my updated approach to PRD templates, how I use them with AI, and how they are now designed to make their creation much less painless for projects of all sizes. Full guide which includes my PRD templates can be found in the comments #ProductManagement #ChatGPT #AI #Epics #PRDs #YoungLeadersInTech #AIinProduct #ProductOps

?? Wisary has officially graduated from the Alchemist Accelerator ???? After six intense months, I couldn’t be more grateful for the experience, the knowledge, and, most importantly, the people who made it unforgettable. Huge thanks to the Alchemist team: Ravi Belani, Ido Sarig, Claire Rosenfeld, Alex Miguel, David Zhou, Rachael Lee – you gave us the tools, the wisdom, and the community we needed to take Wisary to the next level. Also, I want to thank my Alchemist advisors and coaches: Adam Frankl, Gnani Palanikumar, and Julia Gilinets. You helped me turn the theory into reality. And last but not least, to my incredible cohort members! Aida Ahmadzadegan-Shapiro ??, Akshay Panse, Anton Tarasyuk, Ben P., Faizan K., Hussein Khazaal, Jerry Wu, Jneid Jneid, Maksym Tereshchenko, Mehmet Yitmen, Moshe Noy, Saliha Durmu?, Samuel - Austin E., Stéphane Paquet, Tejasvin Srinivasan, Vijay M., Wyatt Marshall, Yuri Hamamura. Your stories, insights, and camaraderie made all the difference. We’re all in this together! ?? Alchemist taught me a lot, especially that the most challenging thing in the B2B space is not to build the product but to drive adoption, giving me the tools to achieve that. ? For Wisary, this is just the beginning. I am excited for what’s next, and proud to be part of such a fantastic community!

?? How to Overcome AI Adoption Challenges in Software Development Processes? Why are software organizations still struggling to harness the power of AI despite its potential to revolutionize productivity? In this post, I'll share my insights on overcoming common AI adoption challenges and unlocking its potential to streamline your software development, making your organization more productive and competitive. Hesitations about AI adoption: - AI can't be trusted for critical work: AI can hallucinate and produce inaccurate or misleading information. - Resistance to change processes: Changing established workflows is difficult and expensive. - The organization already uses too many tools: Concerns about the burden of learning and integrating new tools and having knowledge scattered. Solutions: ? Accept that knowledge available for AI is imperfect: Leverage AI for tasks where its limitations are acceptable, humans can validate outputs, and even 80% precision is valuable. These tasks include prompting humans to think by asking questions, providing feedback, and suggesting ideas rather than using AI to make decisions. ?? Encourage AI to ask us, humans, questions to help us share relevant context with it: Facilitate a symbiotic relationship between AI and human users. Design UX to prompt users with questions, enabling them to provide context that enhances the AI's effectiveness and accuracy. ?? Integrate into existing tools and processes: Instead of forcing teams to adopt entirely new tools, embed AI functionalities within the tools and processes they are already familiar with. Wisary is an example of these principles in action. With AI-powered collaboration, Wisary enables Product Managers to overcome miscommunications and build the right products. Curious to see it in action? Try the Wisary Confluence App for AI-facilitated creation of PRDs and witness a boost in your team's productivity. https://lnkd.in/eTzDzZ9Z

Is Sonnet 3.5 better than GPT4? ?? vs ?? While we debate which LLM reigns supreme, we're missing the real challenge in AI adoption for software development: It's not about Sonnet vs GPT4. It's about the quality of our organizational knowledge. The hard truth: ? Even the best LLM can't compensate for poor data ? Our organizational knowledge is a mess Unlocking AI's potential isn't about the latest model – it's about how we manage our knowledge. Question: How is your team preparing its knowledge base for the AI revolution? ?? #AI #SoftwareDevelopment #KnowledgeManagement #LLM #FutureOfWork
