October is #CybersecurityAwarenessMonth. Our CEO Tomer Saban provides some great insight and recommendations on how we can better prepare for today's security environment. Please share with anyone you think could benefit. #security #datasecurity #NDR #AI #CISO #IT #networksecurity #cybersecurity #cyberthreats
In honor of cybersecurity awareness month, I’d like to share 5 key recommendations to help prepare your organization for the ever-evolving cybersecurity landscape… 1. Budgets aren’t increasing, but the need to secure your data is. Focus on maturing the security team and creating greater efficiency among existing team members. Augmenting the team with effective tooling will help regain some staffing capacity for more deterministic performance. 2. Just like firewalls used to be the primary protection from unexpected intruders, endpoint security provided additional protection, but is also now becoming table stakes. And just like firewalls will forever be part of our toolkit, so will EDR solutions. But it’s time to adapt newer solutions that are providing better visibility into your data and who is accessing it. 3. Maintaining a SOC can be resource intensive requiring significant investments in hiring and training skilled personnel as well as retaining that top security talent over time. Consider 3rd party vendors like 5ironCyber to help manage your SOC and become an extension of your team. 4. Threat hunting may be a bit more of an art than a science, but with advanced solutions, security organizations will find more success detecting patterns and uncovering indicators of compromise (IOCs). Greater depth of detail and duration of history will provide context and understanding before, during and after an event offering the best chance to detect or prevent future events from happening. 5. Finally, data visibility matters. The better the source of data, the better the results. Bad actors are upping their game with AI and automation tools to predict security team responses. Implementing AI/ML into your security posture with a focus on the quality of their source data will make a greater impact. #CyberSecurity #IncidentResponse #DataBreach #ITSecurity #CISO #CyberSecurityAwarenessMonth #DataProtection #NDR #networksecurity WireX Systems Jeremy Hopwood

You have a SIEM + EDR + NGFW.? Why is it still so hard to answer the simple question of WHAT WAS ACCESSED?? Even with a robust security posture, including tools like EDR, NGFW, SIEM and SOAR, many organizations still struggle to track where their confidential information resides and who is accessing it. This becomes even more challenging when investigating a threat under pressure. Join us for our upcoming webinar?on Wednesday, October 16th on?Why Data Matters: How to Get Better Results with Network Data and Visibility. #datasecurity #ISSA #dataprivacy #networksecurity #NDR #AI #cybersecurity Austin ISSA Bill Alderson Gus Stein Ryan Pipkin Philip Campeau SecurityInstitute.com

Join us Wednesday, October 16th for a live webinar at #ISSA meeting on How to Get the Better Results with Network Data and Visibility. Even the most regulated industries like Financial Services, Healthcare and Government organizations are blind to many of these security gaps. We will share some real-world case studies of how very confidential documents and files are exposed during network traversal even with a robust security posture. #datasecurity #dataprivacy #networksecurity #NDR #AI #cybersecurity Austin ISSA Bill Alderson Ryan Pipkin Philip Campeau SecurityInstitute.com

I learned a few things recently. It can certainly be useful to have a handy way to discover bad TLS certificates! Thank you Bill Alderson . And thanks to my Patreon supporters too. https://lnkd.in/getVy3gk
