?? Major rollback to the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) ?? A recent court ruling has overturned key environmental protections, stating that Congress never gave the White House Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ) authority to issue binding regulations. This decision weakens environmental review processes for federal projects and limits public input, rolling back critical updates from 2024. These changes could have far-reaching consequences for public lands, climate resilience, and community engagement—and this may only be the beginning. What does this mean for our wild places? And what’s next? Read more on our Stash blog. https://lnkd.in/guR9bHvY

?? Action Alert: Ask Lawmakers to Reverse Staffing Cuts! ??10% of U.S. Forest Service staff were just laid off by the Trump Administration, meaning unmaintained trails, closed Sno-Parks, fewer wildfire responders, and canceled outdoor education programs. This puts winter recreation, public safety, and our wild snowscapes at risk. We need to act now to stand up for our public lands and the dedicated professionals who care for them. ?? Tell our lawmakers to reverse these cuts! Use our quick and easy form to send a message today. https://lnkd.in/g9-HxiXW
