关于我们
The Well Being In the Nation (WIN) Network is a growing strategic network coming together to advance intergenerational well-being and equity. WIN begins with a recognition that the legacies of the past and the policies, structures and beliefs we choose to live with every day, shape our current reality. Some of these have led to well-being, dignity, and belonging, while others lead to trauma, poor health, and exclusion. In communities across the country, these current and past legacies trap the potential of a hundred million people to participate, prosper, and reach their full potential. How we perceive ourselves and one another, how we are in relationship with one another, how we shape the policies and systems of our time to improve health and well-being today and for generations to come—this is the legacy we have the opportunity to create. It is our obligation to make decisions today that will expand the vital conditions of health and well-being for ourselves and for future generations, to move us toward a thriving, interconnected, equitable world. This is the stewardship we seek to grow into and the legacies we seek to create—because we all have vested interests in developing legacies of interconnectedness in a common world.

We can see what worked. Let's hope this data helps you keep these critical programs alive
New provisional data from National Center for Health Statistics predict a steep, ~24% decline ?? in drug overdose deaths in the U.S. for the 12 months ending in September 2024, compared to the previous year. These data show about 87,000 overdose deaths from October 2023 to September 2024. This is the lowest number of overdose deaths in any 12-month period since June 2020. “CDC’s public health investments, our improved data and laboratory systems for overdose response, and our partnerships with public safety colleagues in every state mean that we are more rapidly identifying emerging drug threats and supporting public health prevention and response activities in communities across America,” said Allison Arwady, MD, MPH, Director of CDC’s National Center for Injury Prevention and Control. Today, we celebrate former President Jimmy Carter's 100th birthday! President Carter has been a true champion of public health during his time at the White House and now through The Carter Center. In 2012, the CDC Foundation awarded President Carter our Hero Award for his visionary leadership focused on building international public-private partnerships to save lives, reduce suffering and provide hope for millions of the world’s poorest people, as well as for his commitment to achieving a more peaceful and healthier world for us all. Happy birthday, President Carter! Thank you for your work to make the world better for everyone.
