?? This is the best story! ?? Murphy here participated in our Summer Tutoring Program, where he had the opportunity to meet Kristy High, M.Ed., Winn Board Member and author of "How to Tame My Busy Brain." It made such an impression, that he chose Kristy as the author he wanted to profile for his Black History Month project at school! We love helping young readers find authors and books that resonate with them! Particularly those who live in our backyard! ?? #literacy #childrensbooks #childrensliteracy #cincinnati

Our nation's latest educational report card shows widening gaps in literacy, particularly among the most vulnerable students. This is exactly why Kay Limbach created Winn Reading. Thanks to Local 12-WKRC for spotlighting our organization in this important news piece. If you want to help, please consider volunteering or donating! You can do this on our website at www.winnreading.org. https://lnkd.in/gASKfK9F #cincinnati #literacymatters #literacy #schools #reading #education Andi Vance Curry Kristy High, M.Ed. Jarrod Trigg

This #givingtuesday, a generous donor has stepped up to MATCH every dollar raised up to $2,500 until midnight. That means your gift DOUBLES its impact! Let’s take this momentum and hit our new goal of $5,000. If you’ve been waiting to give, now’s the perfect time. Together, we can make an even bigger difference! In the last year, Winn Reading provided?527?hours of one-on-one mentoring to more than?100?students across?20 Cincinnati Public School District classrooms, helping build reading confidence and inspire a love for learning. This is individualized support students need to succeed, but teachers do not have the bandwidth to provide. And we're just getting started. With your support, we can reach even more students and provide the personalized help they need to thrive. Every donation makes an impact, and right now,?all donations through the end of the day are DOUBLED?up to $2500. https://lnkd.in/gEthhqWC #cincinnati #givingtuesday

This Giving Tuesday, I’m proud to support Winn Reading, a nonprofit that’s close to my heart (and founded by my amazing mom!). ?? I feel lucky enough to see the behind-the-scenes work that goes into running a non-profit and empowering children through literacy. We're always looking for corporate sponsors to support our mission of teaching kids in Cincinnati to read. In addition to monthly storytimes, we also have literacy mentors who work 1:1 with students in several Title One schools throughout Cincinnati. These are our city's most vulnerable students! If you know a company that could be willing to contribute to our work, please reach out to Kay Limbach, our Executive Director. #cincinnati #nonprofit #corporatesponsorship

Thank you, THANK YOU! Between ticket sales, donations and our silent auction, we generated $2500 from our Sip and Savor Fundraiser. These funds will go directly to supporting our children's literacy programs, and we couldn't be more appreciative of your generosity! A special thanks to The Potted Palm in Mt. Washington, Katenip Vintage Whimsy and our board members Kristy High, M.Ed., @JarrodTrigg and Andi Vance Curry and Kay Limbach for their support and contributions. And a special thank you to Mitza Costantini and The Board Chick Cincy for sharing your gorgeous venue and beautiful charcuterie plates with us! We didn't get pictures of all of the wonderful literacy mentors and supporters who attended, but it was a wonderful evening celebating kids in Cincinnati. ?? #cincinnati #children #literacy #fundraiser
