~ Should Family Offices Regulate Social Media Usage? ~ Wingspan Partner Maryann Bell recently participated in an expert roundtable for the Family Office Professional. The topic was social media policies for family offices.? In the article, Maryann opined that social media guidelines should be part of a family code of conduct. “These codes often include specific social media guidelines, understanding that each family member or family representative represents the family publicly, making it crucial for their actions online to align with the family’s core values.” The goal of family social media policies is to protect the family’s reputation and legacy, as well as its properties and possessions. Some families set up a family council to adjudicate violations.?
