Vineyard tours with growers help us understand soil makeup, exposition, and vineyard treatments (biodynamic, organic, sustainable), all of which have a profound effect on the finished wine. ?? We're still accepting applications for The Diversity in Wine Scholarship! Apply at?https://lnkd.in/dRm3v4_v?by 11:59 PM PST tonight to be considered. How It Works The ‘Connecting People Through Wine’ Scholarship program is open to members of under-represented groups who work in or aspire to pursue a career in the wine industry. A collaboration between NBA Star Josh Hart, Napa Valley Wine Academy, Wine & Spirit Education Trust, and Wine Access, the fellowship will reward 38 experts-to-be with the chance to learn from top wine-industry professionals and become WSET Certified. Wine Access will sponsor 20 students for Level 1, 15 students for Level 2, and three students for Level 3. The Level 3 students will also receive a trip to Napa Valley to spend three days immersed in the wine business, visiting top wineries, meeting with experts in different disciplines, and networking with potential industry mentors. Air travel, lodging, meals, and tastings at top Napa wineries will all be paid by Wine Access. The trip will likely occur late-July or early-August.
