Windsor Engineers is happy to announce the completion of our Boiler Platforms engineering services at the Oregon State Penitentiary! Windsor was hired by prime contractor, Copper Mechanical to serve Oregon Department of Corrections. ? The design included a 3D scan of the plant building and design of ladders, stairs, platforms, and railings to service the boilers that heat the prison campus. Subconsultants included JBW Consulting Engineers (structural) and Jolma Design (3d scanning).?Project was managed by Tyler Stewart. A special shout-out to the Copper superintendent Abe Kadow and to the DOC engineering and operations staff. One of the highlights of this project was the use of a 3D scan to capture the intricate details of the facility, including equipment, platforms, piping, conduit, and access points. This scan was instrumental in ensuring the accuracy of our 3D model design and facilitating offsite pre-fabrication, which streamlined the entire process. ? Windsor is a regular consultant for the DOC on a variety of mechanical, electrical, civil, and structural projects involving Brandon Watt, Dan Somlea, PE, GPD , Tyler Stewart, Joel Bush, Andrew Muonio, Sam Homola, Travis Tormanen and others. ? ? ?
