The Windover team was excited to celebrate winning an Eagle Award at the Associated Builders and Contractors of Massachusetts Excellence in Construction Awards ceremony last week! Windover was honored to receive the award for our Cummings School of Nursing and Health Sciences project at Endicott College. The Eagle Award is the pinnacle of achievement and recognizes overall excellence in project execution, craftsmanship, safety, innovative elements and challenges, and client satisfaction. Designed for experiential learning, the four-story, 70,000-square-foot Cummings School is dedicated to Endicott's expanding nursing and sports science programs and features a simulation hospital, advanced labs, classrooms, and meeting spaces. By bringing the schools together under one roof, the building design facilitates opportunities for collaborative learning experiences across the health sciences. Windover leveraged collaboration, planning, and technology like BIM, digital twin, drones, and mixed reality to complete the state-of-the-art facility three weeks ahead of schedule. A big congratulations to the entire team on this incredible award-winning project, as well as all of the EIC award winners! And thank you to ABC of Massachusetts for recognizing and supporting this work.

Recently, the Windover team had the privilege of hosting a special breakfast with our friends at our Pleasant Street Veterans Housing project in Beverly. We had the honor of sharing breakfast, conversation, and camaraderie with the veterans who now call it home. It was a meaningful reminder of why we build these communities to serve those who have bravely served our country. We are also proud to share that our team recently received the Minuteman Service Award for our work in creating affordable housing for veterans, like the Pleasant Street project, in our communities. Windover was honored to receive this award from the North Shore Chamber-Commerce and Wellpoint at their Salute to Veterans event, where we heard the amazing stories of courage, dedication, and sacrifice from the brave men and women who have served in our country's armed forces. Today and every day, Windover shares a sincere thank you to all veterans for your service and sacrifice.

Exciting news! Our Maple Woods Senior Living project with Harborlight Homes and SV Design is in the running for New England Real Estate Journal's Project of the Year! You can vote for the project, and read the full cover story, here: https://lnkd.in/ejzqsAP9 Maple Woods is a fully accessible 45-unit senior housing community managed by Harborlight, a non-profit affordable housing developer on the North Shore. Designed to support low- and fixed-income individuals, Maple Woods features roomy one-bedroom apartments, a library, salon, computer room, common lounge areas, flexible space for visiting health care services, outdoor seating areas, walking paths, and a resident garden. The Windover team was out and about this month! October featured so many great events with clients, organizations, and community partners. This month, our team: ? ?? - Was thrilled to sponsor and attend our client Harborlight Homes’ annual fundraiser, Journey Home, at True North Ale Company. The night featured local food, delicious drinks, and highlights of Harborlight’s impact on the community, including its current project with Windover and SV Design – Anchor Point Phase II in Beverly. ?? - Was once again inspired by the amazing students and impact of Esperanza Academy at the school’s annual fall dinner and auction, Harvest of Hope. Windover is proud to be building the new school alongside Flansburgh Architects and Scalora Consulting Group, which will allow Esperanza to significantly expand its programming and offer enrollment to additional grades. ?? - Joined Essex County Habitat for Humanity for Women Build Week and helped build future affordable homes in Hamilton. The team focused on the entrances to two of the homes – shoveling and leveling the ground before laying cobblestones and building stairs! ?? - Traveled to Dubai for the GITEX GLOBAL Largest Tech & Startup Show in the World, where we supported the Abu Dhabi Department of Municipalities and Transport in showcasing the AI-Enabled Automated Plan Review Systems (APRS-BIM) platform Windover developed to expedite and enhance the municipality’s permit review and approval process. ?? - Hit the West Coast for Autodesk University in San Diego, where CIO Amr Raafat was joined by Rick Gagnon from Endicott College to lead a discussion on?how we’re collaborating to build a smart campus by implementing leading-edge technology like digital twins. Our team also checked out the expo showcase and the other exciting sessions, including one where Amr was part of a panel discussing how industry leaders like Windover and Beca are building better with industrialized construction!
