We are happy to share that our work at the Grand Traverse Regional Land Conservancy - Mitchell Creek Meadows received an Award of Excellence at the Builders Exchange of Northwest Michigan, Inc. annual meeting held last week. The design of the elevated ground-mounted solar array tested our resolve to overcome the unique challenges of building on a swampy marsh. Our team addressed challenges presented by inclement weather, safety concerns for installation of elevated panels and even working around curious goats jumping on the panels. This project is a crucial component of the GTRLC’s larger initiative to achieve 100% green energy and its goal to reduce campus carbon footprint to net-zero. The Windemuller team was key in helping to meet those objectives. Thank you to everyone who was involved in this innovative project.
