Thanks to private allocators Ryan Devlin of EnCap Investments L.L.C, Matt Chuchla of Quantum Capital Group, Billy McCartney of Wincoram Asset Management and Lex Hochner for joining Joshua Martin on the dais to discuss the state of private E&P capital. Despite the severe drop post Covid, things are starting to look up with an uptick from $3B to an estimated $10-15B in LP commitments tied to E&P. PEP’s head of private strategies Lex Hochner also shared that many of his team’s “R&D” projects are trending offshore #GOM as they see some attractive risk profiles pop up. What will this same panel discuss in five years? One panelist summed it up with, “It all depends on what the plumbing industry looks like.
