Developing responsible citizens through excellence in education.
关于我们
Our district encompasses 98 square miles. With a student population of about 4,800 students, we provide the most comprehensive offerings in academic support programs, interventions, course selections, athletics, fine arts programs, and school activities in the region. WASD also is known as a regional leader in Career and Technical Education, providing 15 programs with industry-recognized credentials verifying student achievement. The City of Williamsport is perhaps best known as the birthplace of Little League Baseball. Situated in the Susquehanna Valley of the Bald Eagle Mountains, Williamsport is within driving distance of New York City (3.5 hours), Philadelphia (3 hours), and Washington, D.C. (4 hours). Aside from a destination for work and recreation, we’re also home to two institutions of higher learning: Lycoming College and Pennsylvania College of Technology, a Penn State University affiliate.

Our Williamsport Area High School construction trades students had another successful year at the 2025 West Branch Susquehanna Builders Association Home Show! Seventeen students proudly represented WAHS, networking with industry professionals, exploring new products, and connecting with Pennsylvania College of Technology instructors and alumni. Many even secured job opportunities for summer, full-time, or co-op positions!

???? Paws-itively Amazing! ???? Students from Andrew G. Curtin Intermediate showed their generosity and love for animals by presenting a check for $975 and donating pet products they recently collected to the Lycoming County SPCA! ???? Their hard work and kindness will make a big difference for pets in need. Thanks to the organization's Executive Director Alyssa Correll and her doggo pal, Quentin, for stopping by to accept. Nice work, Curtin! ??

March celebrates Women in Construction Month. ??????? In honor of that, Mr. Williamson and his students dedicated two evenings last week to bring in girls from kindergarten through ninth grade to work with WAHS construction trades students to build birdhouses. This unique project helped the young girls in attendance to see themselves in non-traditional roles, provide knowledge on basic household tools and expand their capabilities.
