Dear William Raveis Family, We are exploring several opportunities to expand our company footprint over the coming months. Recently, Matt Lane and I visited friends who showed us around the historic neighborhoods and beautiful beaches in Savannah, Georgia. It's a gorgeous area, which explains why so many people from the Northeast are flocking to the region...and having a local office to service them makes sense. Next, we enjoyed visiting our wonderful agents and employees in Bluffton and Hilton Head Island before stopping by the Hampton Hall office. The renovation is coming along nicely, and we anticipate meeting our January move-in date. At William Raveis, our strategic plan is to buy like-minded real estate firms, or open new branches from Savannah to Charleston. During our visits, Matt and I spent time scouting office locations and interviewing agents. Our family-oriented company resonates with the local community. Savannah is the oldest city in the U.S., and Charleston is a lively college town but just a short two-hour drive away. Our acquisition spree is building momentum--stay tuned! The University Dayton School of Business, my alma mater, invited me to be their Keynote Speaker earlier this month. They had a large gathering of over 500 freshmen, upper classmen, and leadership teams who came out to hear my advice on, "Business as a Calling". After reading my little book, "The Ten Noble Rules of Compassionate Leadership", the students brought great questions to our discussions on entrepreneurialism. You can see photos of us having fun with the #1 and a welcome reception hosted by the University President, Eric Spina, and the Deans. We had a terrific visit. At our Advisory Council meeting in December, we'll be discussing details of our NEW Elite Concierge Services for Buyers, and Lisa Carpenter (CMO) will share a preview of our beautiful agent-branded marketing materials prior to our launch. Dear William Raveis Family, Our William Raveis Charitable Fund event on October 22 in Palm Beach was a huge success! The inaugural Southeast Florida Regional Music and Comedy for a Cure (WRCF) turned out to be the region's event of the year! All six South Florida offices participated, including Boca Raton, Hobe Sound, Jupiter Island, Mirasol, Palm Beach and North Palm Beach. Our sales associates and staff were able to tap into their spheres and procure many creative and desirable silent auction items, and our entire William Raveis Florida team did an excellent job promoting the event. A big shout out to our wonderful committee, plus extra kudos to Nancy Cardone and Meghan Vanderpoel, for their superb leadership, coordination, and administration every step of the way. Cheers to Lesley Garlock and the South Bay Team on a successful launch and new global partnership with William Raveis Florida Rentals and Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy. Select William Raveis rental properties across Southwest Florida's Paradise Coast (Fort Myers, Marco Island, Naples) will be featured on the Marriott Bonvoy luxury booking platform. What a tremendous advantage for agents and clients. My Northeast Roadshows brought huge crowds this past week. First stop was Greenwich, with over 200 agents and managers, along with William Raveis Mortgage & Insurance representatives from our Greenwich, Stamford, and Westchester County offices. We covered a lot of ground in an hour: 1. Our company's position on the NAR Settlement and strong support for our sales force with personalized coaching and training. 2. A new Concierge package of Buyer services is in the works and 3. Growing our footprint with several exciting company acquisitions on the horizon-stay tuned! On Wednesday, nearly 100 agents from Norwalk, Westport, and Wilton met at our beautiful Westport office. Mia Capella kicked off the meeting with my favorite Tom Petty song, "I Won't Back Down" which set the tone for our discussion on NAR, value proposition, and securing top commissions on par with the level of luxury service you provide. Then Friday morning, dozens of agents came out to visit with me and Al Filippone in NYC. Our Manhattan team is thrilled by the upcoming move to East 71st Street. Dear William Raveis Family, At William Raveis, we believe in building communities, not just companies. What better show of community support than hosting local events in the very cities, towns, and villages where we live and work. We held our traditional Apple Picking event at my home in Fairfield recently, and it was heartwarming to see everyone having fun with family and friends. Please be on the lookout for my post later this week to learn about our apple harvest donation for Operation Hope...giving back never stops! Mark your calendars. On November 13, Ryan Raveis will once again join Music For A Cure which promises to be a tremendous night of Rock, Pop, and Country music in loving memory of Meghan Raveis. After last year's fundraiser success, Ryan and the team have set an ambitious goal of $125,000+ for this special event. All donations from the silent auction and ticket sales will directly support the brilliant scientists at Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Raveis Nation has so many creative ways to help fund groundbreaking cancer research...it is incredible what we have achieved together over the years. In 2024, agents, sales managers, and employees hosted over 20 successful local events with nearly 40 more to come. At the same time, our Raffle is underway-Win a $5,000 Vacation Getaway, or a $2,000 Tiffany shopping spree and other exciting prizes with a $10 ticket. Last by not least, an update on Florida in the aftermath of Hurricane Milton. We are greatly relieved by all reports, our agents and employees are safe and out of harm's way. Our facilities had limited damage, and a few offices are still without power. We were lucky.
