Congratulations to Marc Zitnay and Oscar Holguin, cath-lab employees at our hospital, who were awarded the WBAMC Safety Certificate, Safety Recognition Crystal Plaque, and Beaumont Bucks from the safety office for having zero findings during a recent environment of care inspection! Achieving zero findings is a remarkable accomplishment that highlights not only adherence to safety protocols but also the proactive approach to identifying and mitigating potential risks in the workplace. Thank you gentlemen, for fostering a culture of accountability and continuous operational excellence!

It's spooky season, and what is one thing many people are afraid of? NEEDLES! That's right, getting blood drawn can be a nerve-wrecking experience, but here at WBAMC, we have the G.O.A.T. of lab technicians! Mr. Saul Garcia is our highlight for Motivational Monday today! We hear many comments about how easy their lab draws were because of Mr. Garcia, and a patient took the time to let us know about it in an ICE comment. He will ease your needle anxiety, you won't feel a thing! Thank you Mr. Garcia for making this patient's experience extraordinary! #patientexperience #wearefirsttocare #icecomment

Today is #purpleheartday !?Purple Heart Day encourages us to honor everyone who has received a Purple Heart.? General George Washington created it in 1782 and intended the honor to be presented to soldiers for "any singularly meritorious action."? Through the efforts of General Douglas MacArthur, the U.S. War Department created the Order of the Purple Heart. Then in 1944, the requirements limited the award to only those wounded or killed in combat. It is estimated that 1.9 million service members have earned Purple Hearts since its creation.? #thankaveteranwithapurpleheart
